BC-CR01 Concrete Retarder

Brief Introduction

BC-CR01 concrete retarder can effectively delay the initial and final setting time of concrete without affecting its final physical and mechanical properties and durability. It is mainly applicable to mass concrete in hydraulic engineering, roads, bridges, municipal engineering and general industrial and civil buildings, as well as ready-mixed and cast-in-place concrete with retarding requirements. It is especially suitable for concrete requiring retarding in high-temperature summer seasons, and can also be used as an auxiliary plastic-retaining component of admixtures.

Product Features

· Excellent Retarding Effect: When mixed with BC-CR01, the initial setting time can generally be delayed by 2h~10h. The dosage can be adjusted according to different engineering requirements to achieve ultra-retarding of more than 60h.

· High Retarding Efficiency: This product shows significant retarding effect at a dosage of 0.1%~0.2%. The setting time prolongs obviously with the increase of dosage. Generally, the setting time can be extended by about 2h for every 0.1% increase in dosage, and it basically does not affect the interval between initial and final setting time.

· Superior High-Temperature Retarding Effect: When mixed with BC-CR01, the concrete setting time can reach 20h~30h through dosage adjustment in hot summer environments, which can meet the high-temperature retarding requirements of most projects.

· Effectively Improves Early Hydration Heat Release Process: The peak time of cement hydration heat of concrete mixed with BC-CR01 can be delayed by up to 24h, effectively reducing early hydration heat, thus greatly reducing or avoiding the occurrence of temperature cracks in mass concrete.

· Good Compatibility with Admixtures: When used in combination with components such as superplasticizers, BC-CR01 does not increase the viscosity of concrete, has a certain stimulating effect on initial fluidity, and helps improve the plastic-retaining performance of superplasticizers and pumping agents.

· Good Safety: The product has stable chemical properties, is non-toxic, and contains no radioactive or irritating substances. It contains no chloride ions and causes no corrosion to steel bars.

Usage Method and Precautions

· Dosage: The common dosage is 0.1%~0.6% of the mass of cementitious materials, and can be increased to 0.8% according to engineering requirements.

· Mixing: It can be directly added to the mixing system for automatic metering and added together with water. The metering accuracy should be checked regularly. Appropriately extend the mixing time to ensure uniform dispersion of the product in concrete.

· Usage Notes: Overdose use of this product may cause excessively long or even permanent non-setting of concrete. Please be sure to calibrate the automatic metering device regularly to ensure accurate metering. Since the concrete setting time is greatly affected by temperature, concrete mix proportion and raw materials, to ensure the retarding effect, the dosage should be determined through advance tests before use, and adjusted in time according to changes in temperature and raw materials.

· Curing: After concrete pouring is completed, timely measures such as covering and water retention shall be taken, and the concrete shall not be exposed to direct sunlight.

Packaging and Storage

· Packaging: BC-CR01 is a powder product packaged in bags with a net weight of 25kg per bag, ensuring convenient loading, unloading and transportation.

· Storage: BC-CR01 shall be stored in a sealed, cool and dry place with a shelf life of 6 months.
