BC-YQ01 High-Efficiency Concrete Air-Entraining Agent

Brief Introduction

BC-YQ01 high-efficiency concrete air-entraining agent is a new generation of air-entraining agent developed specifically for polycarboxylate superplasticizers. It introduces fine and uniform air bubbles into concrete, effectively improves concrete workability and significantly enhances concrete durability. It is widely used in concrete for civil, water conservancy, transportation, bridge and other projects that have high durability requirements such as impermeability and frost resistance.

Product Features

· Excellent Bubble Quality: BC-YQ01 can introduce a large number of closed, uniform and fine air bubbles into concrete at a low dosage of about 0.002%. With a large number of bubbles, small average pore diameter and spacing factor, it significantly improves the frost resistance, impermeability and chemical erosion resistance of concrete, effectively extending the service life of structures.

· Superior Bubble Stability: The introduced air bubbles have stable performance, with air content loss <1% after standing for 1 hour. The air content loss after pouring and vibrating is small, which can retain high-quality air bubbles in concrete to the maximum extent, ensuring long-term service life of concrete in harsh environments.

· Improved Workability: Incorporation of BC-YQ01 effectively reduces concrete bleeding and segregation, improves water retention, and has a particularly significant effect on improving concrete workability. The large number of micro-bubbles introduced can effectively act as ball bearings, greatly reducing friction resistance and improving concrete pumpability.

· Good Compatibility with Superplasticizers: BC-YQ01 can be compounded with polycarboxylate superplasticizers. The compounded solution is uniform and stable without turbidity or precipitation, and the air entrainment amount basically remains unchanged with prolonged storage time.

Usage Method and Precautions

· Recommended Dosage: The common dosage is 0.001%~0.005% of the mass of cementitious materials. For concrete with different properties (such as concrete mixed with fly ash or ultra-fine sand) or specific characteristics of different projects, the dosage can be increased to 0.008%. If further increase in dosage is required, it must be tested before use.

· Mixing: For easy metering, it is recommended to dilute it at a ratio of 1:100 or higher before use, or it can be directly compounded with polycarboxylate superplasticizers. Stirring is recommended to ensure uniform dispersion of the air-entraining agent in the solution. The metering equipment for the air-entraining agent diluent should be checked regularly to ensure accurate metering. Appropriately extend the mixing time to ensure uniform dispersion of the diluent in concrete.

· Usage Notes: The air entrainment amount of air-entraining agents is greatly affected by factors such as fly ash quality, aggregate mud content, mixing time and mixing process. To achieve the designed air content, the optimal dosage of the air-entraining agent must be determined through advance tests. Considering possible fluctuations in raw material quality, to ensure the air entrainment effect and concrete service life, the concrete air content should be tested regularly, and the air-entraining agent dosage should be fine-tuned within a certain range to ensure that the concrete air content meets the design requirements. It is recommended that the air content of fresh concrete is generally controlled at 2.5%~4.5%, the air content of concrete with high frost resistance requirements is controlled at 3.0%~8.0%, and the recommended control range is 3.5%~6.0%.

Packaging and Storage

· Packaging: BC-YQ01 is a liquid product packaged in plastic drums with a net weight of 220kg per drum, ensuring convenient loading, unloading and transportation.

· Storage: BC-YQ01 shall be stored in containers made of plastic, fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) or stainless steel; iron containers are not recommended. Containers shall be kept clean. Avoid direct sunlight in high temperature seasons and store in a sealed, cool and dry place. The sealed shelf life is 1 year.

Safety Precautions

· BC-YQ01 is non-toxic, non-irritating, non-radioactive, non-flammable and non-explosive. It contains no formaldehyde and is environmentally friendly.

· BC-YQ01 is not edible. Avoid prolonged skin contact and prevent it from entering eyes or mouth. If it gets on the skin, wash it quickly with water and soap. If it accidentally enters eyes or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention promptly.
