BC-KJ(I) Crystalline Penetration Waterproofing Agent

Brief Introduction

BC-KJ(I) crystalline penetration waterproofing agent is a siliceous crack-resistant admixture with excellent crystalline penetration function. When incorporated into fresh cement mortar or concrete during mixing, it reacts with cement hydration products to form insoluble crystalline deposits, which block water seepage channels such as capillary pores and micro-cracks in hardened cement mortar or concrete structures and increase compactness, thereby significantly improving the crack resistance and impermeability of concrete. Even when micro-cracks (≤0.4mm) appear in concrete, the active chemical substances contained in this product will automatically penetrate into the cracks under the excitation of water, generate crystals and completely seal the cracks. This product can be widely used in waterproof concrete structures and products such as tunnels, hydropower stations, reservoirs and dams, and is applicable to engineering fields including water conservancy and transportation.

· Excellent Crystalline Penetration Function: The active chemical substances contained in the product react with cement hydration products to form insoluble crystals, block concrete capillary pores and improve concrete compactness. The secondary impermeability pressure reaches 1.0MPa tested in accordance with GB18445-2012.

· Good Crack Resistance: It has low shrinkage rate and excellent crack resistance performance.

· Superior Durability: It prevents corrosion by external aggressive media (such as chloride ions) and has good waterproof, impermeable, frost-resistant and other durable properties.

· Low Construction Cost and Simple Construction Method: It has low construction cost and simple construction procedures.

Usage Method and Precautions

· Recommended Dosage: The common dosage is 4%~7% of the mass of cementitious materials, with a recommended dosage of 5%.

· Mix Proportion: Strictly follow the designed mix proportion. No or only a small amount of other admixtures or water reducers are needed. If other admixtures need to be added for special projects, they must be tested before use.

· Construction Method: Appropriately extend the mixing time to ensure uniform mixing of materials. When pouring concrete, vibrate compactly and avoid missing vibration, insufficient vibration and over-vibration. A dedicated person shall be assigned to add the waterproofing agent, and the dosage error shall be controlled within 1%.

· Curing: After the pouring of waterproof concrete is completed, carry out moist curing according to site conditions. Water curing should be carried out about 10 hours after pouring, and the concrete shall not be exposed to direct sunlight. The water retention curing time shall not be less than 7 days, otherwise the waterproof effect will be affected.

· Precautions: The crystalline penetration waterproofing agent itself has a certain water-reducing function, so it can partially or completely replace concrete water reducers. When using this product, corresponding concrete mix proportion tests must be carried out, and the mixing time should be appropriately extended to fully disperse the product in the concrete paste.

Packaging and Storage

· Packaging: BC-KJ(I) is available in valve bags or bulk tankers for convenient loading, unloading and transportation. The packaging weight can be customized according to customer requirements.

· Storage: BC-KJ(I) shall be stored in a moisture-proof and freeze-proof place with a shelf life of 6 months. Products beyond the shelf life can be used after verification if there is no caking.

Safety Precautions

· BC-KJ(I) is non-toxic, non-irritating, non-radioactive, non-flammable and non-explosive. It contains no formaldehyde and is environmentally friendly.

· BC-KJ(I) is not edible. Avoid prolonged skin contact and prevent it from entering eyes or mouth. If it gets on the skin, wash it quickly with water and soap. If it accidentally enters eyes or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention promptly.
